French director Gilles Bourdos’ adaptation of the bestseller also stars Canadian actress Evangeline Lilly (Lost) and French actor Romain Duris (L’Auberge Espagnole) in front of the camera of acclaimed Taiwanese DP Mark Lee Pin-Bing (In the Mood for Love) since June 2nd. Afterwards is a co-production between Fidélité Films (Paris), Christal Films (Québec) and Akkord Film. It marks Akkord’s first venture into English language productions with more to follow soon, among them a big budget television event miniseries for German network ProSieben.
