During its first worldwide broadcast on Canadian network CBC on Easter Sunday, Akkord’s long-anticipated epic action miniseries BEN HUR celebrated a landslide gain in viewership by more than doubling its audience from the beginning of the broadcast until its end. The airing of Night-Two, one week later, started with even more viewers than Night-One and reached the same peak audience results, again doubling the numbers for a happy CBC. ProSieben in Germany and ABC Television in the US will broadcast this 17 million Euro event production later this year.
