Wow! Akkord Film is among the 5 European film production companies nominated as “Producer of the Year” by CARTOON – European Association of Animation Film. The prize recognizes the work of companies and people that have contributed to the development of the European animation industry over the past year.
RAVEN THE LITTLE RASCAL – THE BIG RACE, won the online vote among three animated movies to be aired Friday, August 17th on KiKA, the German kids TV channel. On top, the movie broke this year’s slot record with the highest market share in 2018. A huge thank you to all Raven fans!

The first week of RABBIT SCHOOL – GUARDIANS OF THE GOLDEN EGG lead to 103,518 admissions at the German box office plus 16.575 admissions in Austria where it had a screen average of 330 and came in as # 4 of the weekly b.o. charts against a very strong opening of THE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. Germany’s trade magazine Blickpunkt:Film called the opening a “real hit”.
Over the past seven weeks our Little Raven has been stirring up the Top 10 box office charts in Germany and Austria. Starting October 21st, our “Corbeau” will be up to some mischief in France as well. Sporting the title LA COURSE DU SIÈCLE, the film will be released in more than 100 French cinemas. We wish all French fans lots of fun with the film!
Akkord’s German feature film Kleinruppin Forever will be presented to school classes in the state Brandenburg along with special educational material about the film.
Director Carsten Fiebeler was awarded with the special prize “desk at the sea” for this East/West German comedy from Akkord Film.
