An episode of our series RABBIT ACADEMY has been nominated for the 2026 Juliane Bartel Media Award in the category Fiction & Entertainment.

In “Earlection Day”, Kela decides to run against Andrew for student council president. Her goal? To challenge outdated gender stereotypes, including the tradition of assigning “boys’ jobs” and “girls’ jobs” at the school fair.

For 25 years, the German state of Lower Saxony has presented the Juliane Bartel Media Award to productions that make an important contribution to promoting gender equality. The award ceremony will take place in Hanover on November 17.

Our series is a co-production with SERU Animation, 2 Minutes and Formart Dekor, with funding from Creative Europe MEDIA, MFG, nordmedia and MBB, in collaboration with SWR, NDR, KiKA and HR.
